The Role

The Digital Marketing Executive will be directly responsible for executing and managing all of our B2B digital content, including our website, blog and associated social media channels. Working closely with both the Marketing Team, Product Managers and Business Development functions, you will be hands on developing, implementing and monitoring tactical campaign activity as well helping to shape the overall marketing communications strategy to meet agreed company objectives and ensure delivery of the business plan targets. This will include:

  • Management of website including SEO, Display Marketing and Analytics
  • Publishing of content across the various digital channels
  • Development of the website to cater for future needs especially mobile requirements
  • Daily monitoring and management of social media channels
  • Production / distribution of integrated digital campaigns to customers & partners
  • Driving targeted email marketing activity through our CRM, including A/B testing of effectiveness
  • Creation of digital content such as video, e-books, landing pages
  • Writing of blogs and other content
  • Monitoring overall campaign effectiveness and producing reports to demonstrate ROI
  • Developing the company’s digital strategy in line with the wider marketing and company objectives
  • Assisting other members of the team when under pressure (e.g. helping to prepare for exhibitions etc.)
  • Liaising with other internal departments as well as external agencies and customers / partners to ensure the timely delivery of marketing activity

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Passionate and experienced in the exploitation of social media in a B2B context for both content creation and curation (including Blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube) to ensure we continually demonstrate thought leadership and inspire followers
  • Someone with their finger on the pulse about the latest appropriate trends in web marketing and the enabling technologies and standards, including working with HTML, CMS systems and SEO / PPC all with a focus on mobility and accessibility
  • Adept at writing creatively and passionately for a variety of audiences about technology based solutions and adapting the message for the media used (be it for press releases, white papers, case studies, product data sheets / brochureware, blogs)
  • A strong sense of what makes an eye catching message and how to structure and execute a targeted multi-channel marketing campaign
  • A real believer in the use of CRM, able to drive others to adopt it and use it in anger and deliver demonstrable results
  • Whether its video, print, animation, infographics or the website, the ability to use graphics and video software and other tools/agencies to turn around high quality collateral in short timescales
  • Comfortable with technology and technical concepts and able to really get to grips with and keep pace with the industry
  • Admirer and informed about latest tools, techniques and ideas in marketing and specifically in HTML/web design standards, SEO, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms, email marketing
  • Pride and passion in getting it right first time and making sure activity is well communicated internally
  • Full UK driving licence

Highly Desirable

  • Ideally 3yrs+ digital marketing experience
  • Background in the ITS/Transport/Road Safety/Public Sector useful but not essential
  • A formal vocational digital marketing qualification (e.g. IDM / CIM)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience of B2B marketing in the technology sector

The post holder will be based at our Milton Keynes office. A clean driving licence is highly desirable, as there will be a requirement to travel to parts of the UK. Overnight stays away from home may also be necessary on occasions and overseas travel may be required from time to time to attend international exhibitions or visiting partners.
