What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is hardworking and ambitious to join our growing team in Baillieston, Glasgow, Scotland. If you have a couple of years’ field technician experience in any industry and you’re keen to reach your potential in an exciting and fast-moving company then we’d love to hear from you.

The role

This role is both field-based and office-based. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll work alongside our Project Manager and Project Engineers, supporting the installation of our technology products across road networks, cycle paths, cities and towns in Scotland. You’ll service and maintain our products across our long-term contracts, helping identify and resolve any issues or faults. Time in the office will focus on the preparation of documentation required for site works as well as your own training and development.

There will be a requirement for paid overtime working on an ad hoc basis dependant on the needs of our customers and business. This includes weekend working and occasional overnight stays.

You’ll report to our Director of Business, Scotland. Full training and 1-2-1 mentoring support will be provided and there will be plenty of opportunities to progress into Engineering or Project Management roles among other aspects of business management if you have the appetite.  You’ll be joining a caring and compassionate work culture which is inclusive and diverse, where everyone can be themselves – whilst feeling safe, secure and supported to reach their potential.

Technical / Skills Requirements

  • Full / Clean driving licence
  • IT Skills
  • Experience of carrying out routine maintenance and basic remedial repairs on a variety of equipment (preferably in the transportation / technology sectors but other sector experience will be considered)
  • Experience of undertaking diagnostic work with ability to perform basic repairs to components
  • Replacing parts on a like for like basis
  • Ability to identify and report further works required with a high degree of accuracy
  • Appetite for training and development

Communication Requirements

  • Completing detailed and accurate reports in line with company process
  • Submitting reports on a regular basis to a high standard and on time
  • Coordinating with the office and customer to provide updates on all repairs
  • Maintaining regular and professional communication with the Project Manager
  • Work from or visit other locations outside of your patched area

Salary & Benefits
