Clearview Intelligence shortlisted for two Highways Awards 2017

Clearview Intelligence solutions feature in not one, but two shortlisted submissions in the recently announced Highways Awards 2017.

Clearview’s SolarLite Active Road Studs form the central pillar of this year’s Amey and Transport Scotland’s A1 Solar Stud Programme submission for the Road Marking Project of the Year award. In total, there were over 4,100 studs installed along various sections and junctions covering 14 miles of the A1 from the Scottish border to the Granthouse Junction, with the intent on improving junction awareness and safety.

Councillor and Chair of Scottish A1 Action Group Michael Veitch, said “The installation of the studs has, in my view, revolutionised the driving experience on the A1 after dark.”

Clearview are also very proud to be part of the Road Safety Scheme of the Year submission, for the work completed on the A75 with partners Scotland TranServ and Coeval for Transport Scotland. The first of its kind solution, was to provide vehicle class activated variable speed warning signs at six locations along the A75 Gretna to Stranraer road, with the aim of reducing speed related incidents and improving safety for the pedestrians of the towns and villages along its route.

Wayne Stant, Marketing Director of Clearview Intelligence says, “To be shortlisted for two Highways awards this year is a real acknowledgement of all the hard work and dedication that has gone into these collaborations between us, our partners and our clients to deliver solutions that change driver behaviour on these stretches of roads and ultimately saves lives. It would be a great accolade to win either of these awards and we wish all entrants and our partners the best of luck in the awards on 18th October.”
