Clearview scores a hattrick of nominations

The list of entries shortlisted for this year’s National Transport Awards has included three nominations for initiatives involving Clearview Intelligence.

Ahead of the annual ceremony in October, Clearview has received two shortlistings in the Road Safety, Traffic Management and Enforcement category as well as a third entry in the Excellence in Technology class.

The submissions reflect the implementation of successful solutions by Clearview Intelligence spanning network management and route safety.

Andy Salotti, Director of Solutions for Clearview Intelligence, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that not only the success but the scope of the projects we provide has been recognised by one of the industry’s leading award ceremonies. To have three entries submitted on behalf of Clearview and to have all three shortlisted is a great honour and a reflection of just how hard we work to ensure each and every solution we deliver is implemented to the highest of standards.

“We are particularly pleased that one of these entries has been submitted as a partnership, demonstrating our ability to deliver successful solutions collaboratively as well as independently. As an SME that prides itself on tailoring innovative solutions to the specific needs of its clients, it is great to receive the affirmation through award shortlistings that industry experts recognise this vision too.”

The National Transport Awards will take place in London on 31 October 2019.

Clearview has been shortlisted in the Road Safety, Traffic Management and Enforcement category for its work to improve delineation and road safety in Guernsey through the installation of SolarLite Active Road Studs along unlit coastal roads.

The LED studs offer 10 times more visibility and driver reaction time compared with traditional retro reflective studs and were installed in response to concerns raised by motorists navigating the sharp rural roads after dark.

In the same category Clearview has been nominated in partnership with Scotland TranServ, Transport Scotland and Coeval for it’s A701 close following initiative targeting ‘space invaders’. Using Clearview’s vehicle detection application, tailgating motorists are reminded to leave a two-second gap via a Vehicle Activated Sign when they are too close to the vehicle ahead, or to slow down if they are travelling above the speed threshold.

In the Excellence in Technology category, Clearview’s Journey Time Monitoring application has been shortlisted following its launch to the market last year. Using crowdsourced rather than traditional Bluetooth data, routes to be monitored can be set up in minutes within the Insight IoT platform and begin reporting live journey time information immediately without the need for roadside equipment allowing the system to be used for temporary and permanent journey time monitoring.
