Earlier this year the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) launched a new mission statement along with a set of overarching objectives which reflect how the group is working on behalf of the sector. The seminar programme for this year’s event will highlight projects and initiatives that have directly led to savings for the sector and will be split into four key focus areas – net zero, collaboration, innovation and skills.
LCRIG Content Director Alec Peachey said: ‘Valued at £400 billion, the local highway network is the largest and most visible community asset for which local highway authorities are responsible. It is used daily by most people and is fundamental to the economic, social, and environmental well-being of the country’.
