Active Road Studs

Road studs have been a core offering from Clearview since the 1990s when the first Astucia solar powered road studs were first installed. Since then, we have developed and continue to improve our technology in this area.

  • Low profile solar powered stud installed flush with the road surface.

  • Surface mounted solar powered stud ideal for edge delineation.

  • A 360-degree in-ground LED light powered by renewable solar energy, SolarLite Path is the ideal route guidance solution for pedestrian and cyclist pathways.

  • The innovative and flexible design of the IRS2 intelligent road studs provides drivers with advance awareness of the road ahead, giving them more time to react accordingly.

Count & Classify

Clearview’s history began in 1974 with the first fully electronic traffic counter which enabled direct data transfer to a computer.

  • The Insight Data Management platform is a scalable hosted service underpinning a range of targeted applications for traffic monitoring.

  • As cities, towns and villages continue to grow, so do the challenges related to mobility, population, and the environment.

  • The Connex Active is an accurate real-time Pedestrian and Bicycle Classifier for active travel detection and analysis.

  • Connex Traffic is the latest generation of automatic traffic counter designed to provide a high degree of flexibility and accuracy.

For the third year running we are the main TTF Conference sponsor for May’s event

We’ve re-signed as the main sponsor for 2025’s TTF Conference, which returns to the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire from 6-8 May.

This popular event supported by the Department for Transport and Innovate UK brings together national government, local authorities, suppliers and academia to explain government policy and showcase best practice and innovation in the use of technology.

We’ll deliver a range of transport technology solutions, from intelligent solar road studs and traffic counters to video analytics and journey time management.

“The TTF Conference has become one of the must-attend events of the year, giving us in the supply chain a chance to talk with national government and local authorities,” commented by our very own Managing Director Nick Lanigan.  “We have found real value in spending quality time discussing how our smart and sustainable data-led solutions can assist local authorities achieve their required goals.”

Exhibitor packages for members of the supply chain are on sale, and companies interested in taking part should contact organisers at the Local Council Roads Innovation Group as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The TTF conference is a key event for practitioners in local authorities and their supply chains to better understand the use of technology to deliver improved local highway services. Using sponsorship revenue from the private sector, local authorities will be able to send a representative who will receive a place at the conference and an invitation to networking events, including the conference dinner.  They will have their hotel cost covered too.

“The TTF acts as a bridge between Central and Local Government, so it is vital that we get as many authorities along as is possible,” commented Kerry Winstanley, Finance and Operations Director and the Local Council Roads Innovation Group.  “As a community interest company, LCRIG is able to re-invest all sponsorship generously received from the private sector to enable representatives from local government to attend.”

The event will hear from a range of experts from the Department for Transport, Innovate UK, Local Authorities and other influential speakers to discuss challenges facing the sector, the latest funding programmes, wider transport policy considerations and ongoing government projects. The draft agenda also includes detailed updates from the TTF’s Working Groups, while the supply chain will share insights into how technology solutions can help transform and solve future transport issues.

By sponsoring and exhibiting, private sector suppliers can showcase their companies in an extremely cost-effective way, get a chance to present to the delegates and meet senior central and local government transport leaders.  More information is available on the TTF website, or by emailing events@ttf.uk.net.

Bookings are now open. Visit the website to find details of sponsorship and exhibitor packages and the registration form to apply for local authority fully-funded places which include a delegate pass, hotel accommodation and catering and refreshments.

The TTF will also be playing an active role in the LCRIG Innovation and Learning Festival in Warwickshire in July, as well as the Strictly Highways conference at the beginning of October.  The TTF Autumn Update will again take place next November.
