Over 3000 SolarLite Flush (F) Active Road Studs stretching more than 250km were installed in 2022 at each of the 3 sites. This now provides drivers with a clearer indication of the road layout ahead whilst improving the safety of the route through clear delineation at night time.
The solar studs provided a cost-effective, environmentally friendly and long term solution to night-time road safety, with minimal damage to the studs from the snow ploughs. A testament to this successful solution is the procurement for a further 3,769 in 2023 and early discussions for a third phase in 2024.
Smart, safe and sustainable solar powered road studs, proven to increase night time road safety. Providing a view of the road layout ahead in the driver's natural line of vision and well beyond the headlight beam of a vehicle.

With SolarLite Road Studs installed for the illumination of stretches on the M25 Motorway and also between the M2 and M20, Clearview Intelligence installed a quantity of 7,000 Road Studs between junctions 3, 4, 5 and 6 on the M40 Motorway providing ultrabright guidance to motorists around the clock.
Intelligent Hardwired Bi-Directional Road Studs installed at Blackwall Tunnel in Kent to create a contra-flow from the southern boar to the northern boar.
SolarLite Active Road Studs trialled in Sweden to see if they can withstand impact from snow ploughs and cope in extreme cold weather

The Shoreham Road forms a U-shaped link road providing access to air-freight warehousing associated with the Airport. In context, the top of the ‘U’ is in the north, the east and west outer sides are warehouses which are used to transfer freight between ‘airside’ (cargo planes) and ‘landside’ (HGVs).
The A50 is a strategic east to west connection between the M6 and M1
