An initial installation of over 1,000 surface-mounted road studs was carried out to improve delineation.

Triq it-Tiġrija, located in Victoria (Rabat), Malta, is a historic street once used as a racecourse and now forms the lower section of Republic Street (Fortunato Mizzi Street). Rich in heritage, the route is lined with landmark buildings, including structures that pre-date the Knights of St John, making it both culturally significant and heavily used.
Today, the road functions as a winding single carriageway where tight bends and limited street lighting present challenges for drivers, particularly at night. Enhancing visibility and ensuring safe navigation along this important route became a key priority.
An initial installation of over 1,000 surface-mounted road studs was carried out to improve delineation. However, due to a combination of installation and material factors, the solution did not deliver the required long-term performance.
Clearview Intelligence returned to site to implement a more robust and permanent solution using SolarLite Flush Road Studs.
The flush-mounted design integrates seamlessly into the carriageway, providing superior durability and eliminating exposure to traffic impact. Engineered for demanding environments, SolarLite studs are capable of operating in temperatures of up to 60°C, making them ideal for Malta’s climate.
