Decarbonisation through Innovation: SolarLite & Live Labs 2 project

At Clearview Intelligence, we are proud to be at the forefront of sustainable innovation in the transport and infrastructure sector. As part of our mission to decarbonise the UK’s road networks, we’ve joined forces with the Live Labs 2 project (https://www.adeptnet.org.uk/livelabs2), a groundbreaking initiative led by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and backed by £3.3 million in Government funding.

Driving Change with Live Labs 2

Live Labs 2 is focused on reimagining the role of street lighting, road markings, and signage in a future where environmental impact, cost-efficiency, and user experience are key. Working alongside industry leaders and research institutions such as Sheffield University and the Institute of Lighting Professionals, the project aims to:

• Reduce carbon emissions from street lighting and road infrastructure
• Improve road safety and visibility through solar-powered solutions
• Explore the socio-economic impacts of lighting on communities and nighttime economies
• Establish national guidelines for low-carbon infrastructure adoption

SolarLite: A Brighter, Greener Future

• Reliable, year-round performance with no dependence on grid energy

A UK-Made, Scalable Solution

Our commitment doesn’t stop at the product level. We’ve invested heavily in our UK-based manufacturing facility to ensure we can scale responsibly and efficiently. As of April 2025, full automation of SolarLite production is in effect, allowing us to meet rising demand while upholding sustainability and quality.
